Raushanah Simmons is a filmmaker, actress, and writer dedicated to crafting bold, thought-provoking stories that inspire, challenge, and uplift. With over two decades of experience in film, television, and theater, she has honed her craft both in front of and behind the camera. Her work explores themes of resilience, identity, and the human experience, often shining a light on underrepresented narratives within the Black community and beyond.
As the founder of RARi Media, Raushanah is building a production company that fuses artistry with innovation, fostering a creative ecosystem where diverse voices thrive. With a deep love for classic cinema—especially film noir—and a passion for cinematic storytelling, she blends timeless influences with fresh perspectives to create visually stunning, emotionally resonant films.

She is currently developing several projects, including Foster, Someone to Watch Over Me, and Work Weak, as well as proof of concepts for her original television pilots, Freedom Is Mine and Finding Franchise. Her feature screenplay, Group Home, has been years in the making, embodying her dedication to telling complex, character-driven stories.
Beyond filmmaking, Raushanah is committed to building a creative collective that empowers artists, providing them with the tools and resources to bring their visions to life.
